QA Lead Developer

Job Summary:
QA Leads are responsible for creating and implementing a strategy for quality coordination and testing as well as suggesting solutions to identified quality problems. They will lead both manual and automated testing as well as document and enforce quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of QA engineers towards individual and engineering excellence.
- Design and lead large projects on your team and execute on the more complex parts yourself.
- Actively contribute to the daily test efforts: manual and assist in automation.
- Strategize testing and build a test-driven engineering culture that focuses and drives improvements in quality.
- Advocate for higher code quality, test coverage and production excellence while identifying and proposing solutions for risk areas.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Leverage automation for better reliability and scalability.
- Have deep technical knowledge of our product features and integration while understanding all the implications of performance, scalability, and robustness.
- Work closely with engineering, product management, cross-department partner teams within an Agile environment using JIRA as our backbone for collaboration.
- Identify, track, and report KPIs and trends.
- Drive release management activities.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or above with 5+ years of experience planning, designing and executing testing frameworks for enterprise services
- Proficient in the English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills, as English is the primary language for internal and external communications.
- Hands-on experience in design, implementation and maintenance of high quality UI, API and platform automation suites
- Experience in software development with Selenium, Python, JavaScript, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages
- Ability to thrive in an autonomous, fast-paced startup environment, where your innovative thinking and proactive approach will drive positive change
- Some experience developing and adapting testing frameworks for product that run in various deployments such as cloud-based (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premises
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git or other version control software
